What we collect and why
Contact form and emails
When you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address, company name (optional), the topic you select and your message. We use this only to reply to your request and, if you wish, to prepare a proposal.
Legal basis: your consent, given via the checkbox on the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Waitlist and newsletter
If you join the waitlist for the EU Customs AI Assistant or subscribe to updates, we store your email address to send you the information you asked for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Technical data
Like most websites, our hosting provider’s servers record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies
We only use cookies that are needed for the site to work, for example to remember your language choice (English or French). We do not use advertising cookies.
Who we share your data with
We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers that help us run the site and reply to you, under contracts that protect your data:
- Hostinger – website hosting and email delivery.
If any of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, they do so under appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
- Contact requests: up to 3 years after our last exchange, unless we start working together.
- Client data: for as long as required by accounting and tax law.
- Waitlist and newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, use our contact form or write to contact [at] dataandai [dot] org. We reply within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In France, this is the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
