Target competency

Use generative AI effectively, critically and responsibly to produce professional content.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  1. Explain how a language model works, its strengths and its limits (hallucinations, bias, knowledge cut-off).
  2. Write a structured prompt with a method (role, context, task, format, constraints, examples).
  3. Improve a result through successive iterations and by breaking a complex task down.
  4. Apply advanced techniques: examples (few-shot), step-by-step reasoning, self-critique.
  5. Check an AI answer and follow confidentiality rules (GDPR, sensitive data, EU AI Act).
  6. Build a library of 5 reusable prompts for their own job.

Audience and prerequisites

Open to any employee or freelancer who uses, or wants to use, generative AI at work. No technical skills needed.

  • Audience: staff from every function (HR, marketing, sales, administration, management), owners of small businesses, freelancers.
  • Prerequisites: everyday use of a computer and a web browser. No AI or programming knowledge.
  • Equipment: a computer with access to at least one generative AI tool (free version is fine).
  • Needs assessment: online questionnaire before the session (current use, expectations, level, adjustments needed). A phone call is offered if the answers show a gap with the prerequisites.
  • Tailoring: exercises are chosen to match the participants’ jobs and the expectations collected beforehand.

Programme

The day mixes short inputs with practice: about 70% of the time is spent on exercises.

Teaching methods and resources

Hands-on teaching: every idea is applied straight away to a real case from the participant’s work.

  • Methods: short inputs, live demos, individual and pair workshops, job-based case studies, sharing of practices.
  • Materials provided: PDF course handout, one-page method summary, prompt templates by job, list of resources to keep up to date.
  • On-site setup: room with projector and Wi-Fi, one computer per participant.
  • Online setup: virtual classroom (Teams, Zoom or Google Meet), link sent with the invitation, connection test offered the day before.
  • Support: AI and data expert trainer, reachable by email for 30 days after the session for questions about putting it into practice.
  • Technical and learning support: reply within 2 business days.

How learning is assessed

We measure whether objectives are met from the start of the course to three months after it.

Each participant receives a certificate of completion stating the objectives and the assessment results.

Access, lead times and accessibility

You can enrol up to 10 business days before the session, once we have your needs-assessment questionnaire.
