Target competency

Lead Copilot adoption in your SME by using it yourself and deciding on its rollout with clear figures.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  1. Explain what Copilot brings to an SME, its limits and the licence options available.
  2. Use Copilot for leadership tasks: emails, quotes, minutes, job ads, sales content.
  3. Analyse their figures in Excel with Copilot (sales, cash flow, margins) and summarise them.
  4. Prepare a client or bank presentation in PowerPoint with Copilot.
  5. Set simple usage and confidentiality rules for their company (GDPR, customer data, EU AI Act).
  6. Estimate the time saved and the cost of a rollout, and decide which roles to extend it to.

Audience and prerequisites

Designed for the business owner who does everything: sales, finance, HR, communication.

  • Audience: owners, managing directors and partners of small and medium-sized businesses (fewer than 250 employees), freelancers.
  • Prerequisites: everyday use of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel). No AI knowledge.
  • Technical prerequisites: a Microsoft 365 work account. A Copilot licence is recommended; otherwise a demo licence or Copilot Chat is used and some steps are shown by the trainer.
  • Needs assessment: questionnaire before the session (business, company size, time-consuming tasks, Microsoft setup) and a 15-minute phone call.
  • Tailoring: exercises use your real tasks as a leader (quotes, follow-ups, dashboard, hiring).
